Humane Oregon Testifies for Shelter Pets

Four members of Humane Oregon visited the Capitol yesterday to support Senate Bill 326. This bill would create a tax credit of up to $100 for adopting a dog or cat from a rescue organization. Humane Oregon Board Member Amy Sacks testified before the Oregon state Senate Committee On Environment and Natural Resources in support of SB 326 on behalf of Humane Oregon and our supporters. Amy brought over a decade of pet rescue experience and her credentials as Executive Director at the Pixie Project animal shelter to her testimony.

Humane Oregon Board Member Scott Beckstead also testified before the Committee on behalf of the Humane Society of the United States in his role as HSUS Oregon State Director. Find more details on SB 326 including Amy's and Scott's written testimony here.
